COYOTE HEALER

It is said that Coyote has the power to call down lightning and the power to heal.

 

Coyote licked the wounds of Native American warriors to heal them. According to Native American mysticism Coyote embodies an immortal spirit that can move between our material world and the spirit world.

 

Coyote is credited with stealing fire from the gods and bringing it as a gift to the Apache hogan, because they needed warmth in the winter.

 

Coyote was more of a fertility symbol than Kokopelli. In fact, some say that Kokopelli has a Coyote hidden in his cloak.

 

Coyote is considered a bringer of dreams, a shapeshifter, trickster and wise counselor. A true symbol of the dichotomy of life and a teacher of its lessons.
